スマナサーラ長老が熱海でヴィパッサナーの指導を始められてから約30年が経ちました。悟りを目指す多くの善男善女が修行に励んできた地です。歳月を経て建物も設備も老朽化してきたため、このたび本堂を大規模にリノベーションして、より冥想に適した修行道場に生まれ変わらせることにしました。また本堂の隣地に僧坊を新たに建設します。長年活用されていなかった敷地の草を刈り、自然の中で心静かに冥想実践できる環境も整備中です。工期は、2022年12月〜2023年10月。途中経過は「改修日記」で随時ご報告しておりますので、ぜひご覧ください。皆様のご厚志は、仏道発展のため有効に活用させていただきます。
About 30 years have passed since Sumanasara Nayaka Thero began teaching Vipassanā at Atami, where good men and women have been practicing to attain enlightenment. The building and facilities have deteriorated over the years, so we have decided to renovate the main hall to make it more suitable for Vipassanā, and to build a new monastery on the adjacent land. We are also cutting the weeds on the site, which has not been utilized for many years, to create an environment for quiet practice in nature. The construction period is scheduled for Decemberは 2022 to October 2023. The progress is reported in the "Reno Diary" from time to time, so please take a look.
